Announcing the Inaugural Meeting of "Out on a Limb"
This April, during Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, Manfredi O&P is excited to launch our new monthly support group, "Out on a Limb." Join us for our first meeting at our Eatontown office, a gathering that promises to be the start of a supportive and empowering community initiative.
Setting the Stage for Connection and Growth
Date: Thursday, April 24th
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location: Manfredi O&P, Eatontown Office
Our inaugural session is designed to bring together individuals experiencing limb loss and limb differences in a space where stories and strengths can be shared openly and supportively. It's an opportunity to meet peers, make connections, and begin building a network that fosters encouragement and practical advice.
Our Goals for the First Meeting
Getting to Know Each Other: The first part of our meeting will focus on introductions and discussions about what members hope to gain from "Out on a Limb." This is your chance to share your story, learn about others’, and express what topics or activities you believe will enrich our future gatherings.
Skin Integrity Discussion: With the warmer months on the horizon, our second focus will be on maintaining skin health, a top priority for anyone using a prosthesis. We'll delve into best practices for skin care, discuss products that can aid in maintaining skin integrity, and share experiences and solutions that have benefited group members.
Why Join "Out on a Limb"?
This support group is more than just a monthly meeting—it's a place to grow, learn, and receive support in all aspects of life with a prosthesis. Whether you're looking for advice, friendship, or simply a listening ear, "Out on a Limb" aims to be a resource that contributes significantly to your overall well-being.
